 Originally from Italy, Gianfranco Michelini brings European precision and artistry to the tropical beauty of Costa Rica. After attending the University of Genova—where he specialized in engineering, construction management, and historic restoration—Gianfranco began his career overseeing large-scale projects including apartment complexes, multilevel garages, and public parks.

In 2010, he relocated to Santa Teresa, drawn by its stunning beaches and vibrant international community. Here, he founded GFM Construction, a company dedicated to creating bespoke homes that blend modern tropical design with natural harmony.

Our vision is to deliver high‑quality construction projects with clarity, integrity, and attention to detail at every stage. We aim to make the building process seamless and transparent, especially for clients building from abroad. By acting as a trusted local partner, we protect our clients’ investments and turn well‑planned ideas into lasting, well‑built spaces.

GFM Construction is powered by a dedicated team of over 80 skilled professionals, including craftsmen, licensed electricians, AC specialists, plumbers, welders, heavy machinery operators, and an in‑house interior designer who provides detailed 3D renderings to help clients visualize their projects.
